Cording lays the foundation for police station in Hattingen, Germany
Cording Real Estate Group, the Northern European real estate investment and asset management firm, has celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for a new three storey police station at Nierenhofer Strasse 14 in Hattingen, Germany. Guests in attendance included representatives from the police service, local politicians and the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of the Interior.
The site was formerly occupied by O&K Antriebstechnik, one of the world's leading manufacturers of planetary gearboxes, which relocated to the Henrichshütte commercial park in 2015. The whole site comprises of approximately 105,000 square metres.
Following the demolition of the large industrial unit, Cording began work in September 2017 on a 3,250 square metre section of the site. The building is scheduled for completion in October 2018 and will have a lettable area of more than 1,400 square metres. It will provide space for offices, holding cells and accommodation for staff and guards. The property includes 33 parking spaces, three garages and four carports.
Construction of the road intersection is also underway to meet the building's requirements and will cost 1.6 million Euro of the 6 million Euro total investment cost.
